Guaracha

  • West Broadway

Service Description

The Mexican Guaracha as a dancing expression is a sub genre of the Cumbia, better known as Guaracha Sonidera or Guaracha Tibiri. It's a popular dance in Mexico and a street or urban dance commonly danced on kiosks, parks and Mexican parties, where sonideros (Cumbia Dj's) play this music. Guaracha mixes some elements from the Colombian Salsa, Cumbia and Mambo, making this dance fun and at the same time challenging. The footwork is dynamic and quick with its own technique and syllabus. The Guaracha class will focus on the footwork technique and the Mexican style of dancing it.
