Dominican Bachata aka Traditional Bachata is a romantic dance and music genre from the Dominican Republic. It features distinctive guitar melodies and lyrics about love and heartbreak, with smooth hip movements and a simple side-to-side step. While it has evolved over time, it retains its rich cultural roots.
D. BACHATA 1
Learn the fundamental steps, timing, and essential footwork of Traditional Dominican Bachata. We will introduce partner connection, basic turns, and simple combinations. It will prepare you for our Level 2 Dominican Bachata class or provide a solid foundation for exploring other styles of Bachata.
D. BACHATA 2
Level 2 is recommended for dancers who have an understanding of the basic Bachata steps. You will develop your Dominican footwork through fun variations, syncopations, turns, and partnerwork. Emphasis will be placed on connection, timing, musicality, and combining footwork with partnerwork.
D. BACHATA 3
Level 3 is recommended for experienced Dominican Bachata dancers. You will explore more complex footwork, intricate syncopations, creative variations and musicality.
