SALSA · MAMBO · LATIN HUSTLE · BODY MOVEMENT
Patrick Moriarity is one of the founders of Dance Vancouver, a leading Salsa studio established in 2006. A three-time Canadian Salsa Champion, U.S. Salsa Open Champion, and multiple-time World Salsa medalist, Patrick brings a rare combination of competitive excellence, musical depth, and a true passion for teaching.

Remarkably, Patrick didn’t begin dancing until nearly the age of 30—a testament to the idea that it’s never too late to pursue your passion. Since those first beginner classes, he has trained with top coaches around the world and gone on to coach several Canadian and World Salsa champions. He also serves as an adjudicator at major international dance competitions.

Patrick’s teaching philosophy is rooted in Salsa’s rich history, tradition, and music. Known for his clarity, encouragement, and attention to detail, he helps students develop their technique, footwork, musicality, body movement, and partnering in a fun, welcoming environment. Whether your goal is social dancing or international competition, his classes are designed to help you thrive.

While he’s learned from many world-renowned instructors, Patrick credits his wife and longtime dance partner, Scarlet, as his greatest creative influence. Together, they have helped shape Dance Vancouver into a vibrant, inclusive community for dancers of all levels.
