Born in Vancouver, Averi Sofia Pinto began her athletic journey as part of a competitive cheerleading team, where she also gained experience as a coach training the younger divisions. After leaving cheer due to suffering multiple concussions, Averi started her dance training in high school under Patrick & Scarlet, focusing primarily on Salsa and other Afro Latin rhythms. She began competing soon after, winning numerous national titles, and is a 2X World Champion in Salsa ( World Salsa Summit 2020 & Euroson 2025 ).

 

She has over 4 years of experience as a coach and instructor, and strives to help her students reach their fullest potential by continuing her own dance training and education. After discovering a passion for the intricacies of body movement through dance, Averi became a Certified Personal Trainer and is currently pursuing a degree in Sport Science/ Kinesiology.
